Family Therapy

Families are where our values, the basis of our self-worth, first develops.

They are where we learn to define ourselves, where we go to when we need advice and guidance, where we feel safe and where we are loved unconditionally.

Families are a complex network of relationships, emotions, and lessons; seldom do we really know or understand all the dynamics at play.

As much as they are the mainstay of who we are and who we will become, they are often also one of our biggest limitations.

Parenting is one of the toughest yet most rewarding gifts of life; the real lesson being to limit the number of challenges that get passed on from generation to generation.

Children are nurtured into adulthood and face the realisation that their parents are not as invincible as they want to believe, and that we all have limitations.

Family counselling focuses on the self-esteem of the family.

Equipping family members with an understanding of the value a family holds in all its components.

I believe we need to teach ourselves, our children and our loved ones, how to deal with the harshness of the world we live in; not so we can deal with it, but so we will know how to make the world a more accepting one in the future.

Respect & communication are essential for family well-being.

Family life and relationships are under enormous pressure. The fast pace of modern life often results in the breakdown of family relationships.

Family members forget what is important about themselves and each other in the challenges of life, this can result in family conflict.

Counselling guides families to a safe and trust centered space where everyone can openly express feelings, thoughts, and concerns with the purpose of enhancing relationships.
